The country’s leading smartphone manufacturer Micromax has launched Canvas Lapbook to strengthen its hold in the laptop segment. On this occasion, the company said that it aims to get a 10 per cent stake in the market share of the laptop segment in the next 12-18 months.

The company has launched its Canvas Lapbook for Rs 13,999. It will be available on the e-commerce website Snapdeal from Friday. In the laptop segment, Micromax will clash with a famous brand like HP, Dell and Leevo.

“Micromax has always tried to connect the best technology with consumer needs and budget,” said Micromax Chief Marketing Officer Subhajit Sen said. Canvas lapbook will meet the need for cheap computer. “

He said, “With entry in laptop category, our aim is to capture 10 percent market share in the next 12-18 months.”

The 1.83 GHz quad-core internet atom processor has been used in Micromax Canvas Lapbook. The lapbook will run on the Windows 10 operating system. It will come with a dual speaker. It has an 11.6 -inch HD IPS display and has an inbuilt storage 32 GB which can be increased with the help of microSD card (up to 64 GB). The device has a 5000 mAh battery. According to the company, the battery in common use will last for 11 hours. The lapbook weighs 1.3 kg.

With this, Micromax has also introduced its second generation laptabe. Laptab LT 7777 is priced at Rs 17,999 and will be available on Amazon India from Tuesday.
