The owner of FB, Instagram, social media giant META has shown the way out to 20 employees. These employees are accused of leaking internal information, so they were fired. Political pressure is also being reported on Meta these days. Several reports have revealed that Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg is being questioned about political inclination towards US President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, the removal of 20 employees by META can give more air to this.

A META spokesperson said, “We tell the employees from the beginning, and from time to time remind that the company’s internal information is against our policies, no matter what the intention is.” He further said, ‘A recent investigation found 20 employees who shared confidential information outside. Such action will continue even further. The spokesman said that they take it with great seriousness, and action will also be taken against other people if the leak is identified.

In the recent few weeks, Zuckerberg said in meetings with employees that they will no longer talk openly, because “everything is leaked, it is extremely disappointing.” He told the employees that “prepare themselves” for the year to come and declare that the meta would now work with the White House.

META announced a big layoffs in the beginning of 2025. The company reduced 3600 employees out of its workforce. Through this trim, 5% of the employees were dropped from the company. The reason behind the retrenchment was stated that the employees giving low-performance have been reduced by the workforce. Regarding the performance based trim, Mark Zuckerberg said that the company wants to ensure that the best talent is present inside the meta. As of September 2024, 72,400 employees were working in Meta.
