In a press release, the tech veteran revealed the new mobile platform. The MediaTek Dimshetic 9400 chipset is a fourth generation flagship processor that has been designed with V9.2 CPU architecture of the arm as well as separate GPU and Neural Processing Unit (NPU) architecture. Especially it is built on the 3Nm fabrication process of TSMC’s second generation. Continuing all large core design, it has a Cortex-X925 core, three Cortex-X4 core and four Cortex-A720 core with a maximum clock speed of 3.62GHz. The company claims that the CPU Architecture Dimsheet provides 35 percent faster single-core performance and 28 percent faster multi-core performance against 9300. It provides 40 percent more power efficiency in its previous processor.

The MediaTek Dimshetic 9400 chipset also integrates the NPU of the eighth generation of the company and provides developer support for on-device LowRA training, on-device video generation capeability and agentic artificial intelligence (AI). The company claimed that the SOC may provide a faster big language model (LLM) quick performance by maintaining 35 percent more power efficiency in the previous generation.

As far as GPU is concerned, the mobile platform 12-core arm is integrated with Immortalis-G925, which is said to have provides 40 percent faster retrusive performance compared to its previous processor. Apart from this, MediaTek claims that it also provides 41 percent peak performance improvement and 44 percent power saving against the Dimesti 9300. The chipset also supports hyperinejan technology. The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 has an imagic 1090 feature for on-device image processing. It also has some small changes such as HDR video recording in the full zoom range, improving moving objects and lower power consumption while recording in 4K60 FPS videos in their previous processor.
