To use the service, the policyholders must first register on the LIC India website and then send a “hi” message on +91-8976862090 from the mobile number registered on their WhatsApp to reach the chatbot and choose the services.
LIC says that the service has been made fast, safe and convenient, so that the policyholder can get access to the information on a button click.
The LIC WhatsApp chatbot has been developed by Valuefire and its CEO and founder Vishwadeep Bajaj has said that “the company is excited to create a feature on WhatsApp for LIC. The Surprise AI Tool will help LIC to connect with its customers better and strengthen its brand.”
At the same time, Ravi Garg, director of business messaging of Whatsapp Republic of India, said that the company is happy to share with LIC to provide necessary financial solutions through WhatsApp business platform. Garg claimed that this service would make traditional experience easier and more secure for policyholders.
