Lenovo on top in PC’s global cells, second place hp


The Global PC market has increased a slight increase in the fourth quarter of the previous year. Shipments of desktop, laptop and workstation equipment have increased by about 1 percent on a year-on-year basis. PC’s global shipment increased from about 9.1 crore units to 9.2 million units. In the last year, this shipment was 34.1 crore units. Lenovo topped PC shipment. It was followed by HP, Dell, Apple and Acer.

According to the report of market analyst firm Canalys, the PC’s total global shipment increased to 34.1 million units last year. This is a growth of about 15 percent compared to the previous year. Along with this, PC has the highest shipment at global level since 2012 in 2021. The report states that the PC industry had a total estimated value of about 70 billion (about Rs 5,17,510 crore) in the fourth quarter of the previous year. It has increased by 11 percent on a year-on-year basis. The total revenue of the industry over the last year remained over 250 billion dollars (about Rs 18,48,290 crore) and is an increase of 15 percent.

Lenovo was at the forefront of around 2.17 million units in the fourth quarter in the global PC shipment. It was followed by HP, Dell, Apple and Acer. Shipments of these companies were of 1.87 crore units, 1.72 crore units, 78 lakh units and 66 lakh units respectively. In the last year, Lenovo recorded a record shipment of 8.21 crore units, which is an increase of 13.1 percent on a year-on-year basis. Lenovo has updated its Thinkbook laptop series. The company has launched new models. These include Lenovo Thinkbook Plus Gen 3, Thinkbook 13x Gen 2, Thinkbook 14 Gen 4+ and Thinkbook 16 Gen 4. The company has also launched three new desktop PCs under the ‘ThinkCentre Neo’ portfolio. These include ThinkCentre NEO 7T, ThinkCentre NEO 50s and ThinkCentre NEO 3A 24. All of them run on the Intel Core processor with 12th generation.

HP shipped 7.41 million units last year with an increase of 9.5 percent. Dell’s shipment was 5.93 crore units, Apple’s 2.9 crore units and Acer’s 2.44 million units.
