Jio will now launch laptops in budget range, these will be features

Reliance Jio is allegedly working on an affordable laptop named “JioBook”. It is being said that the new laptop will be based on Android -based custom skin, named Jioos. It can come with Jio apps. JioBook has also been asked to have 4G LTE support. A 2018 report also said that Jio is working in the field. Mumbai -based telecom operator has already earned a lot of name in the domestic market due to its affordable data and affordable JioPhone.

XDA reports that Jio has partnered with the Chinese company Bluebank Communique Generation (Blueank Communication Technology) to make JioBook. This company is already making JioPhone in its factories.

XDA Builders say it has collected information from internal documents that JioBook is being developed from early year early year to launch it by the first half of 2021. The product validation test of this device is expected to start by the middle of next month. A picture of JioBook’s prototype has also been shared, showing us a glimpse of its design.

The leaked photo shows the laptop with Windows, but the device is not expected to run on Windows, so it may happen that JioBook’s final product design is somewhat different.

JioBook Specs (Anticipated)

Talking about specifications, the report of XDA Builders states that JioBook’s current prototype contains Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset and Snapdragon X12 4G modem with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset and Snapdragon X12 4G modem with a display with 1,366×768 pixels resolution. The laptop has been tested in several variants and one of these models has 2GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB EMMC storage. There is also another model, which has been said to include 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB EMMC 5.1 storage.

JioBook may include a mini HDMI connector, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It is also described as equipped with a three-Xis accelerometer and Qualcomm audio chip.

Jio can also include its native apps such as JISTORE, JIMEET and Jiopages in this laptop. In addition, it will also include alleged microsoft products such as Microsoft Groups, Microsoft Edge and Place of Business.

No information has been shared at the moment about the price and availability of JioBook. However, the laptop is expected to be available under the budget segment later this year.
