Reliance Jio has introduced its new operating system for Smart TV, JILELE OS. The company said that the new operating system has been designed to meet the needs of Indian audience. Jio’s new TV OS aims to make the smart TV experience in India better, as well as to provide access to more regional content.

Availability of JILELE OS

Jio announced that television based on JILELE OS would be available from 21 February. The operating system will start on smart TVs of brands like Thomson, Kodak, BPL and JVC. Jio has also confirmed that by the end of this year, more brands will be introduced smart TV based on Jiootel OS.

JILELE OS Options

Jio said that the purpose of JILELE OS is to provide premium content and smart TV features at a more affordable price. In the AI ​​based content recommendation, the company said that the operating system uses artificial intelligence to provide personality content recommendation. For performance, Jio said that the new OS 4K ensures smooth and leg-free operation on TV, providing support for 4K content. In addition to the library of the TV channel for content support, Jiootel OS provides many OTT streaming apps, cloud gaming and more access. Apart from this, the company said that users will be able to easily switch between content on the new OS using the same remote.

In software support, Jio has promised that JILELE OS will be compatible with new apps, content formats and development technology through OS regular software updates. JILELE OS is an upgrade to Jio TV OS, which was made in Reliance Industries’ Annual General Meeting last year. Apart from Jio’s set-top boxes such as first-party devices, Jiootel OS will also provide power to third party license set-top boxes and smart TVs.
