There was an uproar on the internet due to IRCTC website being down. Indian Railways’ online ticket booking portal IRCTC went down during Tatkal peak time. Complaints about its being down started coming on the internet from many cities of India. According to the report, about 2500 users reported cases of outage due to this.

2500 cases of outage were reported on outage tracking platform Downdetector at 10.25am (IST). At this time, complaints of outages on the platform were at their peak. However later there was some reduction in it. According to the outage map of Downdetector, the IRCTC website went down in the morning in many cities of India. Names like New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Madurai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Jaipur, Lucknow and Kolkata were included in this.
However, no statement has been issued by IRCTC regarding this yet. But users had to face a lot of problems. Due to problems on IRTC website, users turned to social media. Users posted a lot about this problem on social media platform X. One user wrote, ‘IRCTC website is down, I am facing a lot of trouble in booking tickets, my payment is also stuck. Please look into this and resolve it as soon as possible.

Another user also shared his problem through a post. The user wrote, IRCTC website has gone down again in a short time, this is very disappointing.
What to do if IRCTC website is down
When the IRCTC website is down, a Downtime Message is often visible to the user which states that the e-ticketing facility will not be available due to maintenance activity. Try after some time. In such a situation, users can call customer care numbers 14646, 08044647999 and 08035734999. Or you can also tell your problem through email for which you can message on etickets@irctc.co.in.
