In a post on Meta channel, Mark Zuckerberg informed that comment feature has been added to Instagram Tales, in which users will be able to see comments made by other users on someone’s stories. It is very similar to Put up or Reels, but for a limited time. The platform says comments will follow the same time limit as Stories and will disappear within 24 hours. However, it is not clear whether users will be able to archive them or not.
Let us tell you that even before this, users could comment on Instagram Tales, but these comments were sent directly to the DM of the sharer, which other users could not see. Now, comments made by users will be visible in one place. As we said, the good thing for the users is that the platform has taken care of their privacy. In the new feature, users can determine whether comments on their stories are visible to everyone or not. This can be changed through visibility settings. According to a report by The Verge, users will have the option to enable or disable comments as per their choice.
However, Devices 360 staff members were unable to verify its availability on Instagram for both Android and iOS.
The comment feature on Instagram Tales is included in Writer Lab, which was added to the platform in recent months. Here the platform can add many other new features in the coming time. Last month, Instagram introduced new fonts, text animations, and the ability to add stickers to photos on Instagram Reels and Stories.
