Infosys Co-Founder Narayana Morthy Once more offers recommendation to spend extra hours at paintings


The co-founder of Infosys, including large software companies, has once again reiterated that he does not believe in the concept of work-life balance. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his cabinet colleagues and bureaucrats are working hard for the country.

Murthy said in a program that Jio Monetary Services and Products Independent Director and Non-Educational Chairman, Okay v Kamath once said that India is a poor country with too many challenges and people need to worry about it instead of work-laife balance. He said, “When Prime Minister Modi is working for about 100 hours in a week, we can show our praise only through our work. There is no option for hard work. If you are a very intelligent person, you will have to work hard. Because of this I am not taking back my views.”

He told that he used to go to the office at half past six in the morning till retiring and returned at 8:40 in the night. It is 14 hours and 10 minutes per day. Murthy said, “He is proud of it.” Last year, Narayan Murthy advised 70 hours of work in a week. However, there was a lot of debate on his advice. It was opposed by many people. There were some people in support of it. Many business owners had agreed to increase productivity. Recently, Infosys faced criticism for avoiding the joining of new graduates. A union of software workers warned that if the freshers’ joining date is postponed, a demonstration would be held against the company. Infosys then issued joint letters for new workers.

Electric two-wheeler maker Ola Electrical’s CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal supported the advice of Narayana statue of 70 hours of work in a week. Aggarwal had said, “I fully support this advice for the youth of Narayan Murthy.” Narayan Murthy launched the company in 1981 with the help of six software professionals. These software professionals also included Nandan M Nilekani.
