HP’s share in Indian personal computer market: Report


HP, a company known for printing and personal computers, has retained its reign in the Indian personal computer market. HP holds 28.8 per cent stake in the market. This was revealed by the report released by the International Data Corporation.

Dale finished second with 24.1 percent stake. Compared to the previous quarter, this company took a 27.6 percent lead.

According to the IDC, HP gained 18.9 percent increase compared to the second quarter of 2016.

“We managed to achieve an increase in our stake due to the commitment to give customers the best products,” said HP India Senior Director Ketan Patel.

Lenovo finished third in this quarter with 17.5 per cent market share. The report has informed that the company registered a 27.3 percent increase compared to the second quarter of 2016.

In the third quarter of 2016, about 2.5 million personal personal computer companies were made available in the market. It is 17.3 percent more than the previous quarter. However, 22.5 percent less than the same quarter of last year.

Consumer PC market sold 13 lakh 70 thousand units which is 31 percent more than the previous quarter.
