Despite having a low price, Xiaomi and Vivo have designed both these smartphones in such a way that their looks look good. Both these smartphones have better build quality of Redmi Note 8 and it seems more premium. The Snapdragon 675 processor was used in Vivo U20, the chipset given in this price segment is powerful. The 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant of Vivo U20 in India is priced at Rs 10,990. Its 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant is priced at Rs 11,990. Like Redmi Be Aware 8, Vivo U20 will also get a separate microSD card slot. Vivo U20 has two color variants, racing black and blazes Blue.
The Redmi Note 8 has a 4,000 mAh battery, while Vivo U20 will get a large battery of 5,000 mAh. Both smartphones come with fast charging support, not only that, 18 watt charger is also available in the retail box. It is charged quickly due to the low -capacity battery in the Redmi Note 8.
Talking about the software, the Redmi Note 8 runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. There are some blotware that pre-installed on the device and we find some Xiaomi app spamy. The Vivo phone runs on the Funtouch OS 9.2 based on Android 9 Pie. Vivo phones will also get many blotware pre-installs. Let us know that Spamy notifications will also be available in Vivo U20. In terms of hardware, Vivo is a U20 winner as it is equipped with Snapdragon 675 SoC which is more powerful than Snapdragon 665 processor.
Redmi Be Aware 8 vs Vivo U20 Performance and Battery Life
Both smartphones handle the day-to-day task without any problem. Multitasking was also easily done, we saw some videos in both phones and found that the Vivo U20 panel is better than the Redmi Note 8. Vivo U20 fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature unlock the phone rapidly.
We saw PUBG Cellular playing in both phones, in Redmi Be Aware 8, on the game low preset, while the game in Vivo U20 went on high settings. After playing the game for some time, both phones were hot. Talking about battery life, Vivo U20 has a higher capacity battery than the Redmi Note 8.
In our video loop test, Redmi Note 8 gave 13 hours and 10 minutes, while Vivo U20 supported for about 15 hours. Along with general use, Vivo U20 smartphone lasted longer than Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 phone. Charging speed is the same but this smartphone of Vivo brand takes a little more time because it has a big battery. In one hour, Redmi Note 8 smartphone 81 percent, while Vivo U20 smartphone was charged 67 percent. In this round, Vivo U20 has won in terms of better performance and battery life.

Four rear cameras have been given in the rear of Redmi Note 8, while Vivo U20 has three rear cameras. Xiaomi has given a 48-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter and 2 megapixel macro and a 2-megapixel depth sensor in its Redmi Note 8.

Both phones focus rapidly, both phones in daylight captures details details. Our samples look good in appearance but zoom in it leads to granny. Comparing Vivo U20, we found that contrast and sharpness were better in photos taken from Redmi Note 8.
Both offers the wide-angle camera wide field of view of the phone but we liked Vivo U20. The Redmi Note 8 aggressively booses the constraint and the shadow declines in detail. In low light, Redmi Be Aware Capture the color tone of 8 scenes correctly but the Vivo U20 captures better details and the zoans are less visible when zoom in.
Both of them provide bright shots after enabling night mode in the phones. The Redmi Note 8 increases the sharpness automatically in the photo, which makes the photo look artificial. Photos taken from Vivo U20 look more natural. For close-up, we found that the Redmi Note 8 captures better colors and details well.
It also manages the age detection properly and provides better details. We have tested the macro camera in both phones and found that Redmi Note 8 captures better details compared to Vivo U20. Talking about selfie, we got the result tie of both phones, because both phones capture good shots. For photography, Redmi Be Aware 8, then Vivo U20 improves for the video.
Our decision
Vivo U20 and Redmi Be Aware 8 are both popular smartphones which are available for sale in the budget of Rs 10,000. While one provides a better performance and good battery life, the other phone is equipped with better build quality and better cameras. It is not easy to choose from both phones but if you want to take a phone to play the game then Vivo U20 can prove to be a better option.
Out of the Redmi Note 8 and Vivo U20, the Vivo brand smartphone runs more in every charge. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 comes with better cameras, it looks more expensive to appear.
