Google is preparing to bring its sharing feature Fast Percentage to iOS. According to a report by Android Authority, Android experts have received a hint according to which Google may also bring the Quick Share file sharing tool to iOS and macOS. Fast Percentage is a popular data sharing tool for Android users that is also widely used in Chromebooks and Windows PCs. It works through a secure local network and makes data sharing very simple.
This feature is not available on Apple platform due to which users find it very difficult to send data from their Apple devices to Android. The latest API update indicates that this feature may now come to iOS as well. Earlier this tool was called Within sight Percentage which is now known as Fast Percentage. According to the report, a recent bug fix in the API suggests that the company may expand it to iOS.
Google’s Within Sight repository reveals that a comment here hints at a service expansion. It is written in this comment that the device name is working properly for using Fast Percentage for iOS and macOS. However, the comment does not confirm that the Fast Percentage app is ready for iOS and macOS. But it can be guessed that Google is definitely preparing a background to implement it in future.
Implementing Fast Percentage into Apple’s complex ecosystem won’t be easy. The company may face difficulty in following the guidelines of the Apple Store and the company’s strict policies.
