Google Pay has launched a new UPI Lite Service on its platform to make digital transactions easier. Through UPI Lite, users can make quick digital payments with only one click, that too without entering UPI PIN. The company says that even after the transaction without a PIN, the money of the users will be safe, for which the company has kept some limits in it. The UPI Light allows a maximum transaction of Rs 2,00 at a time, while the account can be filled only twice a day maximum Rs 2,000.

Google on Thursday announced the launch of a new UPI light feature on its Google Pay platform. The aim of the new service is to make digital payments easier for users and for this, small transactions can be done without UPI PIN. According to Google, despite the user being connected to the bank account, the light account will not depend on real time bank transactions. Due to this, UPI light ensures quick transaction at any time of the day.

However, to avoid any kind of disturbance, Google has a limit on transactions. Users can load only twice a day per transaction maximum Rs 2,000 (a total of Rs 4,000 in a day) account. Also, for sending money, how many times a day can be sent to Rs 200 per transaction.

Activate UPI Lite feature on Google Pay

  • To activate the UPI light feature, you must have a Google Pay account
  • You have to go to the profile page on the account and tap on ‘Lively UPI Lite
  • Now following the steps coming on the screen and link the account
  • After the process is complete, you can add money up to Rs 2,000
  • After this, if you are doing transactions up to Rs 200, the app will automatically take you to UPI light account.
  • To complete the payment you have to choose the “Pay Pin-Free” option
