According to Google’s support page, Gemini Mobile App is now available in English, Korean and Japanese languages and is being released in more than 150 countries and regions. The entire list of countries is available on Google’s support page. iPhone users do not have a special app at the moment, but they can use Gemini’s AI capabilities through the Google app. For this, they will see the top-light and a tole button of the app, which is designed to access the chatbot. Devices 360 iOS was capable of confirming the availability of Gemini Toggle on the Google app on 17.2.1.
The Gemini app requires at least 4GB RAM smartphone. It should have a new version of Android 12 or Google’s operating system. Similarly, Gemini Togal is available for iOS 16 and iPhones running on new versions. Because AI service is available only in English, Japanese and Korean, it will only be available on smartphones set to use these languages.
To use it, users will have to sign-in to the first personal Google account or workspace account. If you are still unable to see the app or togle, note that the global rollout has started on Thursday and it may take a few days to reach all the devices.
Jack Cravatic, senior director of the product in Google, who is also handling Gemini, revealed in a post on X that the Gemini app’s image uploading and image generations are being relaxed to some extent. However, he said, “We will continue to work responsibly on the refusal with both pictures and text.”
In Android smartphone, some users who added Gemini as a default assistant in Android smartphone had complained that there was no clarity on which AI is capable of executing which in-device features AI. Cravatic has one on Wednesday Post I said, “It is being worked on to make it more clear, which assistant features are working and which are still available.”
