According to Moneycontrol, Google has blocked 2 thousand personal loans in India between January and July this year for violating the company’s policy. “A large part of the loan apps was removed from the Play Store … I would say that more than 50 percent of them were violating Google policies,” said Saikat Mitra, senior director of Google Asia Pacific and head of the trust and security.
Mitra further stated that Google is working with its artificial intelligence / machine learning capabilities as well as government agencies, media and users referrals to punish the bad factors on its Play Games Bind.
“Such problems in Indonesia can be eliminated more easily in Indonesia, where only the government can lend apps,” he said in his statement.
The company said the apps were not associated with the take-down hunter loans, although the issue has forced government agencies and the central bank to tighten the criteria in the last one year. Tech veteran also said that the company does not actively track whether to remove the deleted loan apps or their developers from China.
Similar reports stated that earlier this year, Google announced that the company would need personal loan apps in India to meet the additional evidence of merit requirements.
