Now there is no need to recharge Fastag repeatedly, as Fastag Annual Go in the country has been implemented from August 15, 2025 (Independence Day). By spending only Rs 3,000 for a year or 200 toll trips (whichever is earlier), you can be given without additional tolls on toll plazas that are connected to the national highway or expressway. This pass is especially for private vehicles (eg car, jeep, van).

The aim of the government is to make travel more convenient, affordable and time saving through this annual GO. Under this scheme, long lines on tolls will be cut, digital payment process will be speeded up and active users can estim about about 70%.

Existing fastag owners do not need to buy a new tag, it will be activated on the current tag, until that fastag is correctly on windscreen, linked with a valid vehicle registration number and not blacklisted. The pass is implemented within two hours of activation and after activation, the user gets information about its states through SMS.

If a user completes a year before 200 trips, he will have the option to renew the annual Go. That is, this model is designed keeping in mind the frequent trips and low expenses. While there was a recharge tension on every toll in the old fastag, it has now turned into just an easy and prepaid payment option.

Keep in mind that the round trip will be taken twice in 200 toll trips. If you cross a toll into a trip and later come back from it, it will be recorded similar to two trips.
