Esa Hera Creation Challenge Spacex Falcon 9 Rocket Learn about Nasa Dart Challenge

The US space agency NASA had tested the DART (Double Estroid Redirection Test) mission in the year 2022. A spacecraft was then hit into a sectroid named Dimorphos. The initial results were encouraging and NASA confirmed that the collision led to a change in the tract of the Estroid. NASA had hoped that in future when an Estroid comes close to the earth, its direction could be changed with a similar collision. However, Spacex is going to launch a spacecraft to find out how successful NASA was in its cause.

According to reports, the European Space Agency’s’ Hera) Spacekraft will fly towards Demorphos for post -impact evolution. The ‘Hera’ spacecraft will find out what was the effect on the Deemorphos Estroid due to the collision with the spacraft.

The ‘Hera’ spacraft and its two cub from the Milani (Milani) and Juventas will be launched through the Falcon-9 rocket of Spacex. This is to be launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station of Florida. According to the plan, it will take 2 years for ‘Hera’ to reach Dimorphos Estroid. It can reach there at the end of 2026. Spacecraft will find out how big a pit in the demorphos in 2022.

What’s Dimorphos

Dimorphos is a small sectroid satellite. It was discovered in the year 2003. It is a moon of Didimos.

What happened to Dart Mission?

Dart’s collision had reduced the orbit of Dimorphos from 11 hours 55 minutes to 11 hours and 23 minutes. NASA was expected to change the speed of demorphos up to 10 minutes from the collision and the results were better than that. The orbital period of the demorphos was expedited by 32 minutes.
