“My grandmother turns 89 physically but at heart she’s a 20 year old! Just today on her birthday, she cooked special food for the entire family! We don’t want to celebrate much as we are still mourning the loss of didi (Lata Mangeshkar). However as every year goes by, we realise how precious life is and we wanted to celebrate 89 years of her life! ” Zanai tells us.
“Despite not having a formal event, our family and some close family friends like Poonam Dhillon, Jackie Shroff and others are going to be coming home to wish her. And her favourite fruit cake will be cut,” she adds.
Earlier today, Zanai took to her Instagram handle and shared a video with her grandmother. In the video, she can be seen singing with the birthday girl. She also penned a beautiful poem and expressed her love for the veteran singer.
“Meena Mangeshkar, her sister, will also be dropping by and the two sisters will enjoy tea together,” Zanai concludes.
