With these notebooks, the user will also be given unlimited internet browsing packs for one year with a prepaid connection of Reliance and Telenor. The user will have to use a ubiser browser for this. This does not include audio/ video streaming or local download. Datawind said that the user will have to take a separate top-up plan for these services.
On the occasion of the launch, CEO and President of Datawind Inc. said, “Our aim is to provide free and fast internet at any time at all times. Droidsurfer will play a great role in harmonizing between notebook work and entertainment. ”
The Datavind Droidsurfer 10 has a 10 -inch 1024×600 pixel resolution touchscreen. It uses a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor and 1 GB RAM. Inbuilt storage is 8 GB which can be increased with the help of microSD card. The notebook also has a 0.3 megapixel front camera and is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery. Droidsurfer 10 has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi direct, HDMI port and micro-USB connectivity features.
Datavind Droidsurfer 7 has a 7 -inch WVGA (800×400 pixels) resolution display. In this, only the processor with Droidsurfer 10 has been used, but it comes with 512 MB RAM. Inbuilt storage is 4 GB which can be extended with the help of microSD card. There is no change in the resolution of the camera, but it will come with a 4000 mAh battery.
