For this, speculative bookies are resorting to advanced technology and special developed apps, which make people win a nominal amount, but on the other hand they work to fill the bookie pockets. Let’s know the whole matter.

A special report by TOI states that some special apps of cricket betting are being used to cheat users, in which bookiers are rigged in the result in such a way that they should ensure that they always win. The report states that bookies are hiring software companies to develop fake apps to control the business of crores of rupees of fraud.

A police officer told the publication that these apps on one side win the small amount to the users and keep them connected to the apps, while the bookie wins most of the big bets. Not only this, it also gets trapped as well as skilled books, as these apps are designed by software experts. The police officer says that software experts charge huge amount to create such a program. Apart from this, these experts also create temporary links, user IDs and passwords for cricket bookies. As the bookies pay these experts, these credentials are rejected.

The report further states that it is difficult to catch these apps, because they are constantly updated with new features.

It has also been told that in a similar case that came out earlier, the police have taken 18 such gaming apps on radar, which work to rob people’s earnings. 17 crore has been seized after a raid at a bookie named Sontu in the case. However, the bookie is currently hidden somewhere in Dubai.

According to the report, CP Amitesh Kumar says that Sontu was also using a fake app ‘Diamondexache@com’ to cheat users. The app was owned by Racketiers in Dubai with Rajkot connections.
