According to the Reuters report, if everything happens according to the plan, the Starlineer Capsule will come out of the ISS’s dock on the evening of September 6, according to the US time and traveling for about 6 hours will try to land in New Mexico’s White Sands Space Harbor.
The Starlineer Spacecraft was launched on 5 June. This was Boeing’s first human mission. Two astronauts- Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore rode in the spacraft and reached the ISS. The next day of the launch, Starlineer Capsul had successfully docked the ISS. After that, problems started.
Helium leaked in the spacecraft and then it failed five control system throat. The Mission of the Starline was proposed for only 10 days, but the disturbance in the spacraft brought the mission into the situation not returning. The biggest question was what would happen to both astronauts.
A few days ago, NASA and Boeing decided that Sunita and Buch would not be brought back to the earth from Starlineer. This means that if Starlineer returns to the earth on 6 September, no crew will be rider in it.
NASA has told that Sunita and Butch will now return to Earth with Crew-9 (Crew9) mission. The mission is to be launched in September and may return to Earth in February or March next year. This means that Sunita and Buch’s return to Earth will be able to be done by February or March 2025.
The return of Starlineer is also a shock for Boeing. The company has been trying to wings its ambitions in the space sector for a long time. Had the Starlineer Mission been successful, in the coming days, Alan Musk’s company Spacex would have got a new rival in the region. It seems that now Boeing will have to make many more efforts.
