According to the CCI, at first glance it is a violation of competition standards and prevents potential app distributors and app store developers from reaching the market. Citing these reasons, the regulator has ordered a detailed investigation by its Director General (DG).
Apple did not answer the question asked on CCI’s investigation.
The CCI has said that app developers, Apple’s app stores to reach users and users are also dependent on the app store to download the app. CCI believes that Apple has a monopoly in the App Store Market in India. App developers are dependent on that, due to which they have to obey Apple’s non-enemy rules.
Apple’s claim that it has only 0-5 percent stake in the market, CCI has said that Apple’s approach is completely wrong. The reason for this is that in the current case, alleged anti-competition ban has been imposed on the app developers by Apple. In other words, Apple has misused his strength.
At the same time, Apple has argued that the complainant is working closely with the parties with whom the company’s disputes are going on at the global level. This complaint was lodged by NGO, in Combination We Battle Nation. In this entire case, an inquiry report is to be given within 60 days.
