Amazon Knowledge Breach: The world’s veteran e-commerce company Amazon has reported that a cyber attack has caused the data of its employees to come up, that is, it has gone into the wrong hands. According to the report, the attack took place on the third-party vendor. Due to this, contact information of employees like their emails, phone numbers, bilding locations etc. were leaked. However, the company has said that AWS (Amazon Web Services) or its main system has not been affected in the attack. This attack is said to be associated with Moveit Switch, which last year made many organizations of the world their victims.

This is a kind of valanarability that acquired sensitive data by infiltrating companies around the world. Such valanarability is transported to the server of companies through file transfer.

According to media reports, the alleged hacking group named Name3L3SS leaked stolen data on Breachforums. Amazon is not the first company to suffer from Moveit Switch. According to reports, companies like HP and HSBC have also struggled with it.

Amazon’s Spoxaperson Adam Montgomery has said that this breech has not affected the main systems of Amazon such as Amazon and AWS systems. According to the company, only the contact details related to the functioning were able to reach the cyber attackers. That is, the office email, desk phone number and building addresses of Amazon employees have been leaked. However, the company has not stated how many of its employees have fallen victim to this data breech.
