After protest in some countries, Apple will give the reason for removing the app from the app store

American smartphone and tech company Apple has decided to explain the reason for removing an app from its app store. The company was accused that the freedom of expression in countries like China and Russia was threatened by not getting complete information about its removal process. Apple has agreed to some shareholders of the company.

Last year, about one-third of the company’s shareholders passed a resolution related to increasing transparency in the company’s conversation with governments abroad. Apple had removed a large number of apps from the app store in countries like China and Russia, after which questions were raised about this process of the company. According to a report by Monetary Instans, the company was asked to explain why it had removed some apps from the App Store about two years ago in China. Apple has decided that it will give information about how many apps have been requested to remove how many apps from the app store. Along with this, it will also be told whether these requests were due to legal violations or not and the company has agreed to them.

The company will also tell its shareholders how many apps have been removed in which country due to the violation of the guidelines of the app store. This information will be given in Apple’s transparency report. Earlier, Apple has been removing apps on the request of governments abroad. The company’s app store in China does not have encrypted messaging apps or many social media apps. In India too, many apps and games have been banned on the app store including PUBG Cellular and Garena Independent Fireplace.

Apple has exported iPhones of over $ 2.5 billion from India between April and December last year. This is almost double the total export of the company from India last year. This is indicating Apple to accelerate the production of its devices due to difficulties in China. In the first nine months of the current financial year, FoxConn and Wistron each has exported devices worth more than one billion dollars from the country. Last year ended last year, the restrictions in the Foxconn factory in China and the restrictions caused by Corona had a major impact on the production of the iPhone.
