Legendary social media company META is constantly taking action on violating the rules related to content. The company has reported that in India, it took ‘action’ on more than 1 crore 62 lakh materials on Facebook in India. This action was taken under 13 Volition category. During the same period, the company’s photo sharing platform Instagram took action against more than 32 lakh materials in 12 categories.

Under the IT rules implemented earlier this year, large digital platforms with more than 5 million users have to publish the Compliance report every month. The action taken on the complaint received by the platforms is given in it. Also, this report also contains details of deleted or disabled content uses by using automatic tools.

In October, Facebook ‘action’ on more than 1 crore 88 lakh materials in 13 categories. During the same period, Instagram took action against more than 3 million materials in 12 categories.

In the latest report, Meta has said that between 1 November to 30 November, Facebook received 519 user reports through its Indian grievance system. Of these, 461 cases were solved by giving tools to users.

According to the report, out of 1 crore 62 lakh materials that Facebook took action in November, 1 crore 10 lakh materials were related to spam. 20 lakh materials were violence. The 1.5 million materials were of adult nudeness and sexual activity. Apart from this, more than one lakh head scients were also taken action. Action was also taken in many more catteries. These include 102,700 ingredients of bulling and harassment, suicide and 370,500 ingredients that hurt themselves. Action was also taken on the dangers related to children.

At the same time, the most of the 12 categories in which more than 32 lakh materials were taken on Instagram, the most cases were related to suicide and hurting themselves. 815,800 materials were accepted. 333,400 cases related to violent and graphic content were removed.
