Scientists Achieved 15 Years of Analysis on Blue Whale Tone Bundle 3900 HOS Information Finds Heavy Factor

Whale is counted among the largest organisms found on earth. Whale fish in the sea can also be called the biggest creature. Now scientists have taken a study above the whales living in Antarctic with 15 years. Scientists have discovered how the whale makes voices. How does the male whale sound, and how does the female whale sound. Scientists have presented their results in a sonic survey.

For this, researchers used passive acoustic devices called Sonobuoys. With their help, researchers collected 3900 hours of sound data. It was found that whales produce three types of sounds. These scientists have called 3 types of calls. The study is lead by Marine Mal Akostician Brian Miller. Miller is associated with Australian Antarctic Program. The distribution and behavior of the Antarctic Blue Whale has been illuminated here. It is said that during the industrial whaling, he was once so much hunted that he had reached the verge of extinction. The study has been published in frontiers in Marine Science.

The information that scientists have collected will help them monitor the population of Blue Whale. On scrutinizing the data, researchers found that whales produce three special sounds. It has a type of call called Z-call, which only produce male whales. The Unit-A Call has given only another type of call found in this area. While D-call is produced by both male and female. With the help of these calls, scientists can understand the population and behavior of the whale.

However, scientists have not yet been able to find out what these calls actually mean. But with the help of drone footage and AI algorithms, researchers will soon find out their meaning. This can also reveal what has been the effect of climate change on the population of Blue Whale. Also, their main food source Krill has also been detected.
