UPI Unwell: UPI (Unified Payment Interface) services in India went down on Saturday afternoon. Due to the service of the service, users started having trouble paying. Meanwhile, app users like Telephone PE, Google Pay, Paytm started inconvenience in payment. People started complaining on social media too. Downdetector, a website tracking outage, also gave information about this. However, after some time, UPI services started again.

The outage website dowdater revealed that the blockage in the service started around 12 noon. In India, users started having difficulty in paying many apps offering UPI services like Telephone PE, Google Pay, Paytm etc. While making the payment by scanning the QR code during the payment, the process was showing the process, but it took more than 5 minutes to complete the transaction.

When this problem continued for a long time, people started posting about this on social media. Shortly, #upidown started trending on social media. Many users posted this on social media platform x using the hashtag. According to the portal of Downdetector, UPI service of SBI, Google Pay, HDFC Vault and ICICI banking was also affected. Let us know that UPI is a popular payment service in India. In India, currently from tea payment to tea shop, from tea payment to booking of rail tickets, UPI is used. In such a situation, the downs of the service for a short time also become a disaster for the people.

This is not the first time UPI service has been down. In the past too, the UPI services had gone down in the same way in the past. UPI’s full form is unified bills interface. It is a digital payment system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in India.
