META has announced new features for direct messages (DM) in Instagram. The purpose of this feature is to improve the way to connect with users’ friends and express themselves. These updates are part of it, which the company does “Peacock Wayz to Express EURSELF and Depan Friendship in DM”. Here we are telling you in detail about these new features of Instagram.

New sticker packs for DM:

To improve the conversion, META has introduced 17 new stickers packs with more than 300 stickers. These stickers allow users to respond to the message or express feelings when there is a lack of words. Users can also keep stickers in a favorite, making it easier to reuse stickers made by friends or using cutouts.

Personalizing Nickname in DM:

META now allows users to add nicknames to their or friends in DM, make users’ easier, or to persuade through inside jokes. Nicknames only appear in private chats and do not affect the public Instagram profile. Users have complete control over who can update Nickname inside the chat. By default, only those people can make changes that you follow, but this setting can be adjusted.

Users can set Nicknames like this:

First of all you have to tap on the chat name on the top of conversion.
After that Nickname has to be selected.
To choose the person you want to give nickname.

Location sharing in DM:
Live location sharing has been started to make meatup easier. Users can share their live location for one hour by making the coordination easier by making or planning in crowded events or planning.

The location sharing is private and is limited to one to one or group chat.
Live location sharing ends after an hour.
Users can stop sharing their location anytime.
This feature is closed as default and people are seen only in specific chat. Meta advises users to prioritize privacy and share their location with only reliable people.
These features are rolling out this week, although location sharing is currently limited to select countries.
