Redmi be Aware 7 Professional Vs Samsung Galaxy M40 Design
Both Redmi Note 7 Pro (Review) and Samsung Galaxy M40 (Review) come with different designs. Redmi be Aware 7 Professional has a normal glass sandwich design. It uses cornings back and forth, which protects it from scratching marks to some extent. There is a plastic frame in the middle of the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Redmi be Aware 7 Professional on the right side of the power and volume button while the SIM tray on the left. The hand to the power button easily reaches but to reach the volume button, the hand has to be slightly stretched.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a USB Type-C port with loudspeakers at the bottom. The upper part of the phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and IR editor. Xiaomi has given a dual camera module on the rear of Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, the hand reaches the sensor easily.
Samsung Galaxy M40 Morden seems to be a hole-pant display in which the selfie camera has found a place. In our review unit, we found that the screen looked a bit dark on the lower edge of the screen and near the camera hole which was seen on the light background. Samsung Galaxy M40 has curved edges, due to which the phone gets easily fit in the hand.
The back panel of the phone is made of plastic, during the review, there were some marks on the back of the phone. The right side has power and volume button and we found that the placement of the volume button was slightly up. On the left side of the phone is a hybrid dual-sim tray, while the lower part of the phone has a loudspeaker with USB Type-C port.

There is a secondary microphone on the upper part of the phone, while the Galaxy M40 has not been given a 3.5 mm headphone jack. In the retail box you will get a type-C headset but there is no 3.5 mm dongle from Type-C. In such a situation, you will have to buy it yourself from the market, otherwise you will not be able to use your existing headphones.
The back of the phone has a triple camera setup that is slightly embossed. The Samsung Galaxy M40 also has capacitive fingerprint sensor on the back panel, but it was placed very high as per our choice. Both smartphone displays have thin bezels on the edges while the border on their lower part is slightly thick.
The Redmi be Aware 7 Professional has an earpiece between the display and plastic frames, while the Samsung Galaxy M40 does not have earpiece, the Galaxy M40 has used screen sound technology for voice calls. It produces audio vibration in the handset. While Redmi be Aware 7 Professional’s build quality is better but we like the modern design of Samsung Galaxy M40.
Redmi be Aware 7 Professional Vs Samsung Galaxy M40 Specifications and Software
Both Redmi Note 7 Pro and Galaxy M40 are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. Redmi be Aware 7 Professional has three variants- 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, second 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and third 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The price of which is Rs 13,999, Rs 16,999 and Rs 15,999 respectively.
On the other hand, there are only one variant of Samsung Galaxy M40 which is equipped with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and is priced at Rs 19,990. This means 6 GB and 128 GB storage variants of the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the price of this model of Galaxy M40 is a difference of Rs 3,000. It is possible to increase storage due to having a hybrid dual-sim slot.
Samsung Galaxy M40 and Redmi Note 7 Pro is USB Type-C port
Both smartphones support full-HD+ resolution. The Redmi Note 7 Pro has LTPS in-cell panels, while the PLS TFT LCD panel has been used in Galaxy M40. Talking about connectivity, both smartphones include dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth version 5, dual-band Wi-Fi and FM radio.
While Samsung Galaxy M40 has NFC support, Ir Emitter has been given in Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional which is used to control IR electronics. The Battery of the Redmi Note 7 Pro is 4,000 mAh and it will support Quick Charge 4.0 but you will get a 10 watt charger in the retail box. At the same time, this phone of Samsung has a 3,500 mAh battery and supports 15 watt fast charging.
Redmi be Aware 7 runs on MIUI 10 based on Professional Android Pie. It has some prenstol blotware which periodically sending spamy notifications. Even stock apps such as Mi Video and Music send notifications. Samsung Galaxy M40 on the other hand runs OneUI based on Android 9.0 Pie. We have seen earlier that if you will not take precautions during the setup process, what you allow the phone to allow you to send spamy notifications.
Since both smartphone gives theme support, you can customize UI as per your choice. Samsung Galaxy M40 has a Google Digital Welbeing feature with the help of which you can monitor your Adat but you will not get this feature in Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional.
We found that the Redmi Note 7 Pro has an option to change the display output, as well as you can change the color temperature. At the same time, you will not get these settings in this phone of Samsung brand. However, we found that the Galaxy M40 has a great panel with better contrast. The speaker of Samsung Galaxy M40 also makes a loud voice.
Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional vs Samsung Galaxy M40 Performance and Battery Life
We already know that both smartphones have uniform core specifications. We had 4 GB variant of Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional for Test and 6 GB RAM variant of Galaxy M40. However, both smartphones performed a similar performance in the day -long performance. Both smartphones took almost the same time in opening the app and switching from one app to another.
We saw PUBG Cell playing in both smartphones to check gaming performance. These smartphones run the boy default game on the high preset, while the graphics run the graphics by keeping HD and frame rate on high. We had found that both the smartphone used to go stuck and sometimes during the gameplay and both the phones were heated after 10 minutes.

Both smartphones run all day on general use. Redmi be Aware 7 Professional succumbed in 19 hours 23 minutes in HD video loop test, while Galaxy M40 played 15 hours and 30 minutes in HD video loop test. While charging, we noticed that Samsung Galaxy M40 Fast Charger and a low MAH battery had been charged early.
Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional Vs Samsung Galaxy M40 Camera
While Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional Dual camera comes with setup. It has a 48 -megapixel primary sensor with F/ 1.79 aperture. With this, a 5 -megapixel secondary depth sensor has been given. So there is a triple rear camera setup in Galaxy M40. The primary sensor is 32 megapixels. This AI scene comes with optimizer and F/ 1.7 lens. There is a 5 megapixel secondary camera on the back. It is also a depth sensor. The third camera is 8 megapixels, it comes with ultra wide angle lens. The primary sensor of both smartphones takes a picture of 12 megapixels by default, but if you want, you can go to settings and set the output on full resolution.
Photos taken in daylight by Samsung Galaxy M40 came sharp and details also captured well but this phone is slow in locking the focus compared to the Redmi Note 7 Pro. While taking a macro shot, both were AI enabled of the phone. After taking the picture, we saw that Redmi Be Aware was a little aggressive with 7 professional processing, which caused the deficiency of details and the color was less than average. The Galaxy M40 is slower than the AI Redmi Note 7 Pro, but it gives better details and more accurate color.
While taking pictures in low light, we saw that it took some time to focus the Samsung Galaxy M40. Grains appeared in pictures taken from both smartphones at night but notices that Redmi Be Aware 7 professional increases sharpness in photos at night. We placed Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional in night mode and switched to the Galaxy M40 Scene Optimizer to Knight. The photos taken from the Samsung Galaxy M40 came to the bright and the details were also properly captured.
We also took some portate shots from both these smartphones and found that Samsung Galaxy M40 gives better output. There was sharpness in the picture, color tone was natural and edge detection was also better. The picture taken from Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional lacks sharpness and the photo had a warm color tone. With selfie we saw that both smartphones capture almost the same details.
On the one hand, while the Galaxy M40 gives better color and better color tone, on the other hand Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional Pictures were a little warm. We set the beautification on the auto and found that Samsung Galaxy M40 gives better output. Edge detection was good in the portate shots taken during selfie mode in both smartphones. But once again the Samsung Galaxy M40 was better to set up the exposure, due to which the pictures came better.
Both smartphones are capable of recording 1080p, 1080p per second and 4K at 60 frames. We found that the Samsung Galaxy M40 in all these shooting mode lacked video stabilization. Due to which the video of 1080 resolution taken from Galaxy M40, the shake was realized, while the Redmi Note 7 Pro stabilized it. Both these phones have no stabilization in 4K mode but Samsung Galaxy M40 gives better color while Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional’s output was boosted.
Overall, when it comes to photo quality, Samsung Galaxy M40 is slightly ahead of its revamping handset Redmi Note 7 Pro. However, while taking a picture with this phone, you have to be patient due to slow autofocus.
Our decision
Both these smartphones have been launched in the market in the price segment of less than Rs 20,000, but there is a difference of Rs 3,000 in the price of a similar variant of both. So in such a situation, who would you like to choose? Well, the Samsung Galaxy M40 spries a modern design and has a better display. Redmi Be Aware 7 uses a professional premium material and has an IR Emitter which can prove useful for some people. The performance of both smartphones is equal to each other, but both send phone spamy notifications but Galaxy M40 is slightly better in this regard.
The Galaxy M40 is slightly better in the camera performance, if it is compared to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, it gives better photos in most lighting. However, its autofocus is a bit slow due to which it will have to be patient, as well as there is no stabilization that the smartphone scored less in the review.
When we reviewed Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional, it scored more but its camera performance decreased slightly. Xiaomi released some software updates stating that the camera has been improved with updates and the new AI camera mode has been added. When we reviewed the phone, this update can make the phone’s camera performance slightly different from it. The battery of both smartphones lasted throughout the day, but the Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional has more MAH battery.
If you are thinking of buying the high-end variants of Redmi Be Aware 7 Professional, then Galaxy M40 can also be considered by spending a little more money. If you want to buy the base variant of the Redmi Note 7 Pro, then buying it can also be a profitable deal.
