The Vacation Bench of Justice Aniruddha Bose and Rajesh Bindal has allowed both these firms to request the Delhi High Court to hear their petition immediately. The bench has stayed the High Court order of May 26. Along with this, the information about the notification of the final policy of the Delhi government’s lawyer has been recorded before the end of July. Two separate petitions were being heard in the Supreme Court. These petitions were challenging the AAP Aadmi Party government’s order of 26 May in Delhi. Last week, the court sought an answer from the central government in this regard.
The Delhi government last month approved the Motor Vehicle Agricultural Scheme. In this, cab aggregators and delivery service providers were regulated in the capital. The scheme included the emergency button in the taxi, integration with emergency number ‘112’ and shifting to electric vehicles (EV) according to the phase. The motor vehicle aggregator scheme will apply to an anticipation, an individual who carry passengers or a seller, e-commerce firm or a consenion of a product, courier, package or parcel from a driver in electronic, digital or any other way with a driver.
Earlier this year, Rapido challenged the Bombay High Court order in Maharashtra to the Supreme Court. In Maharashtra, Rapido did not have a license to provide a bike taxi or autorickshaw service. The Bombay High Court had asked Roppen Transportation Products and Services operating Rapido to immediately shut down services in Maharashtra as the firm did not get a license from the state government.
