Chinese language scientists found out aqua molecules in samples from the moon

H2O on Moon: Chinese scientists have achieved great success. A new type of molecular structure has been discovered in the moon’s samples brought by the Chang’i 5 mission of China, which has water presence. According to the report of China’s official media CGTN, earlier evidence has shown that water or water ice in the form of hydroxyl groups on the surface of the moon is present. Now scientists from the Chinese Academy of Science have found a hydrated mineral with 6 molecules of crystalline water.

This study has been published in the Journal Nature Estronomy. Scientists have said that this discovery has received information about the real form of water molecules and ammonium on the surface of the moon i.e. in which form it is present. The special thing is that the foundation of the mineral discovered is very similar to the mineral found near the Earth’s volcanoes.

This research has potentially revealed that water molecules on the surface of the moon may be present in the form of hydrated Salts. These hydrate are also in areas with high altitude areas of the moon where sunlight comes. Researchers say this discovery will open new possibilities for the development of water resources on the moon in the future.

Significantly, China is continuously sending its mission to the moon. Last month, China’s robotic Chang’e 6 mission (Chang’e 6 undertaking) had collected samples from the remote area of the moon and returned to the earth. The remote area of the moon is the place that does not appear from the earth. For the first time in the world, a moon mission returned to Earth with a sample from that place. Chinese scientists hope that Chang’e 6 mission will also gather new information about the moon.
