Live Science has written that its crew-9 mission launch has proceeded from August 18 to September 24 due to a delay in Starlineer. When the astronauts of the crew-9 mission arrive at the ISS, then the travelers of the crew-8 mission will come to the earth. The crew-9 mission cannot go on ISS until a docking port will open there. The starline of the Boeing is still stuck in the docking port on which the crew-9 mission is to be attached.
The special thing is that there is no date for Boeing’s spacecraft, when it will return to the earth. NASA engineers are thinking that Starlineer should be sent to the earth without crew. It is also being thought that both the astronauts of Starlineer should be brought to Earth in the beginning of 2025 from the wheelers of Spacex. If this happens, Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmor will have to stay in space till next year.
What happened to Boeing Starlineer?
On 5 June, Starlineer flew to ISS and reached there the next day. While reaching the ISS, Starliner faced problems in helium leaks and throats 4 times. The malfunction in it increased over time and now it is stuck on the ISS itself.
