Whatsapp for Android Trying Out Accentuation Messages Attribute for Meta Ai Software Give Holiday to Customers

Whatsapp for Android is allegedly doing a new feature test for its recently added Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chatbot, Meta AI. According to the claim of a feature tracker, this feature will allow users to send voice messages to the chatbot. It is being said that Meta is also capable of responding to AI messages, although in text format. This feature is allegedly being released for a small group of beta testers. Whatsapp can rollout it for a large userbase in the coming weeks.

According to a post by WABETAINFO, the voice message feature for Meta AI was seen in Whatsapp beta version 2.24.16.10 for Android. After its rollout, those who have registered in the Google Play Games beta program will be able to tap on the meta AI button to access the chat interface and see a new voice message icon.

The icon is similar to the icon seen on other chats and groups and is placed next to the text field below. According to the feature tracker, it will allow users to send voice messages to Meta AI. AI will be able to process and understand the query. After this, it will answer in text. Units 360 staff members were unable to see its availability on the Whatsapp beta app for Android.

This feature can be of use in situations where users cannot type a long question. Its advantage can be taken on the go, where user cannot focus on the phone continuously for typing. Interestingly, Meta AI was always a multimodal and could generate pictures, but audio generation or processing has not been added to it yet. This update may eventually change it.
