Now PF passbook cannot be accessed from the unified website of EPFO. For this, a separate website of EPFO has come. Keep in mind that for other services related to PF, the unified website of EPFO will still have to be used.
To view or download PF passbook on the website, your account must be tagged with Universal Account Number (UAN). You can view the passbook on this website and it will also be possible to download it.
Method to check PF balance through epfindia.gov.in website
To access EPFO member passbook, first go to epfindia.gov.in website.
After this, click on ‘Our Services and products’ under ‘For Workers’.
After this, click on ‘Member Passbook’ inside the ‘Services and products’ section. After this this page will open.

To access the passbook, ensure that the UAAN has been activated by your institution. Let us tell you that UAN is given to you by EPFO. But the responsibility of its verification and activation lies with the institute. Access your account by entering the password on the website only if your UAN is active.
How to check PF balance through EPFO’s M-Seva app
If employees wish, they can also check their passbook or PF balance through EPFO’s app. EFPO subscriber must first click on MEMBER. After this, on Stability/Passbook and then on UAN number and password. Then the balance will be in front of you.
