Sacred Games
India’s first big Netflix original is still one of Netflix India’s most loved crime dramas. Saif Ali Khan plays cop Sartaj Singh, who gets a call from Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s gangster Ganesh Gaitonde — and a race to save Mumbai begins. Dark, layered, unforgettable. Its background is documented on the Sacred Games Wikipedia page.
Delhi Crime
Based on a real Delhi investigation, Shefali Shah leads as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, hunting a gang after a brutal crime that shook the country. The writing never sensationalises the case; it shows police work, pressure and grief honestly. Emotional hai, but gripping from first episode to last, and praised worldwide.
Jamtara
Set in Jharkhand’s Jamtara district, famous for phone scams, this series follows young boys running a phishing racket and the officer determined to stop them. Small-town ambition, easy-money temptation and family pressure collide in short, fast episodes. The story feels disturbingly close to real life — crime fans ke liye perfect binge hai.
She
Imtiyaz Ali’s crime drama sends Bhumika, a shy Mumbai constable played by Aaditi Pohankar, undercover against a drug cartel. It is a bold story of a woman discovering her own power in a world that underestimates her — crime, identity and desire mixed in a way few Hindi series attempt.
Mismatched
The comfort pick. Rohit Saraf and Prajakta Koli lead this sweet campus romance about a tech-obsessed boy and a girl building her own app, thrown together at a Jaipur coding course. First love, friendship drama, parental pressure — sab kuch hai, served light and funny across short, easy episodes.
Heeramandi
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s grand period drama enters the courtesan houses of Lahore before Independence, where beauty, music and politics meet power. Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditi Rao Hydari lead, and every frame looks like a painting. Slow, royal, emotional — proof of what variety among the best hindi web series on netflix really looks like.
Guns & Gulaabs
Raj & DK’s retro crime comedy, set in the fictional 1990s town of Gulaabganj, mixes opium deals, innocent first love and very confused gangsters. Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan and Gulshan Devaiah are superb, the humour is dry, and the nostalgia is strong. Purani cassette wali feeling ke saath fresh storytelling — a rare combination.
Kohrra
A slow-burn Punjabi crime drama around a murder in a foggy small town. Kohrra is less about who did it and more about broken families and quiet secrets, with Suvinder Vicky and Barun Sobti excellent as two very different policemen. Heavy, mature and completely real — it stays with you.
Little Things
Dhruv and Kavya, a live-in couple in Mumbai, navigate jobs, rent, food cravings and small everyday fights. No villains here — just the little things that make or break a relationship. Mithila Palkar and Dhruv Sehgal feel completely natural. Light, warm and rewatchable — the perfect zero-stress Sunday-evening pick.
Kota Factory
Vaibhav moves to Kota to prepare for the IIT entrance exam, and teacher Jeetu Bhaiya guides him through pressure, friendship and failure. Shot in black and white, this hostel drama captures student life with rare honesty. Parents, students, anyone who has faced a competitive exam — sab connect karenge. Hasna, rona, seekhna, sab kuch ek show mein.
