WhatsApp changed the privacy policy, there was a ruckus in the whole world. The mountains of questions broke over the FB -owned instant messaging app. People believe that now WhatsApp will share Facebook’s more private data than before. This is the reason that in the last few days, millions of people started using Sign and Telegram messaging app. Seeing a large number of migration, the messaging platforms released several statements and even used the status feature on their own platforms and gave the users clarified about the new policy. Whatsapp made changes to its privacy policy at the beginning of the year and conveyed these changes to all the users. After the policy was implemented, users who opened their WhatsApp for the first time were told about the policy update and also gave the ‘Agree’ option. Users were also given time till February 8 to accept the policy and it was said that the account of the person who does not accept it will be deleted. What was it then, there was a ruckus all over the world. There were many points in the policy that were talking about sharing data with Facebook. Due to this, people started deciding to choose Telegram and Sign by boycotting Whatsapp.

Seeing the migration now, in the last few weeks, WhatsApp released statements several times and also started taking advantage of the status feature of its app and started delivering it to all the users. The information given in this status is as follows:-
1. Whatsapp says that they cannot see the personal messages of users or do not hear their calls nor can FB do so. WhatsApp says that whatever you share, it lives among you. This is because your personal messages are safe by end-to-end encryption. WhatsApp has also promised that (translated) “We will never weaken this safety and we clearly label each chat so that you can know our commitment.”
2. In the second point, the instant messaging app has made it clear that they do not collect the messages and calls made by users to other users. He says that these information collects these information, but WhatsApp believes that keeping data of 2 trillion people is a privacy and security risk, so they do not do so.

3. The third point states that (translated) “We cannot see your shared location nor Facebook can do so. When you share your location with someone on WhatsApp, your location is protected by end-to-end encryption, which means that your location only you and which you have shared the location can only see the person.”
4. In the next point, WhatsApp says that “We do not share your contact with Facebook. When you access us, we only use phone number from your phone book, and we don’t share your contact list with other Facebook apps.”
5. The next point states that “we use group membership to send messages and protect our service from spam. We do not share this data with Facebook for advertising purposes. These personal chat end-to-end are encrypted so that we can’t see their content.”

Whatsapp has also given two suggestions at the end. WhatsApp says that users can set their messages on the disorder. Explain that this feature automatically deletes the message sent by you as soon as a fixed deadline is over. Apart from this, users have been suggested that they can also download their data. With this, the user can see which of his data is with WhatsApp.
WhatsApp says that these changes have been made only for business accounts. On the FAQ page, the company wrote that (translated) “We are working to give better support to 175 million people who messages a business account every day. These updates are related to alternative business features, through which we are trying to make communication with business more secure, better and easier than before.”
