According to the report by Trade Same Old, the Government of India has launched a new Sandes app, which is an instant messaging option of WhatsApp. The app is completely Indian and is currently working on a trial basis. The report further states that the Sandes (Sandes) app, being called GIMS, is currently given to select government employees to use. This app is being called Govt Speedy Messaging Systam (GIMS). Right now there is no information about whether the app has been introduced only for government work or the general public can also use it.
At the beginning of the year, WhatsApp made changes in its privacy policy, after which FB -owned company came under question. After this, crores of users started using Telegram and Sign App. However, the app developer had clearly stated in his cleanliness that these changes were not for the common user, but were made for business accounts. Nevertheless, the government had questioned the company and expressed concern about the personal information of the users. It may happen that the Sandes app has been launched due to this. Government work is sensitive and government employees get access to this app that the government has not been fully confident of WhatsApp at the moment.
According to the report, this app works on Android and iOS platforms. However, the app is not available in both platforms app stores. It is being given directly to government employees. The Sandes app is created as the new modern chatting apps, which also provides the option to transfer voice messages and media files along with chatting.
