The hacker can grab your account in a pinch!

The Whatsapp Messenger app has been found to be insecure. Attacker can close your WhatsApp account by using your phone number. The error found by the security researchers in the app was going on for some time due to basic deficiencies. It is being told that many Whats users are at this risk. Their account can be disabled without their permission and then they will not be able to activate it again. This insecurity will also remain in a situation even when you have also applied to a two-factor authentication (2FA) in the account.

Security researchers Luyis Marks Carpinaro and Ernesto Canelis Perena have discovered the error. In the Forbes report, these researchers have said that this error is in the app due to two basic shortcomings. The first drawback gives the attacker exempt that he can fill your phone number in the WhatsApp account of his phone. Yes, the attacker will undoubtedly not get the control of your WhatsApp account until he acquires the 6 -digit registration code received on your phone. Many unsuccessful efforts made in this direction will stop to put the code for 12 hours in the WhatsApp account of the attacker’s phone.

Attackers cannot repeat the process of repeated check in with your phone number. He will contact WhatsApp support to deactivate your account with the app. For this, they would need a new email address and a Sadhna Mail, which would have written that your phone has been stolen or lost. In response, WhatsApp will only ask you to confirm which the attacker can easily give on his behalf.

After this, your Whatsapp account will be closed and you will not be able to use it again. You cannot prevent this from happening even through two-step authentication. This is because the attacker has closed the account by email. In general, when the account becomes inactive, you can re -activate it through phone number verification. Whereas in this case of the account being hacked, the attacker has already closed the verification process for 12 hours. This means that you will not be able to get any new registration code for the next 12 hours.

Whatsapp will behave on your phone in the same way that he is doing on the attacker’s phone, that is, your sign-in process will be closed. After this you have only one option left. That option is that you contact the messaging app via email to re -activate your account.

A WhatsApp spokesperson told Gazetts 360 that users can avoid this problem in a way. For this, they have to register their email through two-step verification in their account.
“Getting an email register by two-step Verifikesh helps our team help users during such problems in future. The situation described by the researcher affects our service conditions. We encourage users to tell our support team about such problems so that we can investigate this”.

However, whatsapp did not give any details about what she is doing to prevent the bad effects on people due to this insecurity. It is not yet clear whether an attacker has done it as an extended form. The news of this deficiency has now reached the common man. In such a situation, there is a possibility that any person can prevent another user from using WhatsApp- even for a few hours right.

Whatsapp has a very large userbase. It has more than 2 billion users worldwide. There are 400 million WhatsApp users in India alone. Currently, most of the users have not registered an email address in their WhatsApp account. Therefore, the possibility of insecurity related to the app is very widespread.
