Whatsapp’s multi-device support feature will be released soon as Beta!

According to a report, the upcoming multi-device support of WhatsApp will first come in beta on WhatsApp web, desktop and portal clients. It will start for Android and iPhone users. With this, the testing of this new development will be done on a small user group before it is launched for all the users on a large scale. There has been a round of rumors for some time regarding multi-device support on WhatsApp. The head of this instant messaging app, Will Cathcart and FB CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed its alleged conversation with a beta tracker earlier this month.

WABETAINFO has posted a screenshot indicating to release multi-device support on WhatsApp for WhatsApp web, desktop and FB portal. The screenshot states that after connecting accounts with the web, desktop and portal, users will no longer need to stay online on their phone. WhatsApp Beta Tracker report also mentions that the app can be used simultaneously on four additional devices with a phone through multi-device support. This means that through the new feature, users will be able to connect up to five devices on WhatsApp simultaneously.

Users will no longer be able to communicate with people using the old version of WhatsApp (neither message nor call) on their phone. This makes it clear that both sides will have to use the latest version of the app to enable multi-device support. This can cause problems for those who cannot get an updated version of WhatsApp on their devices due to a dated operating system.

The screenshot shared by WABETAINFO also includes the point that multi-device support will initially affect “performance and quality”. However, initial deficiencies can be cured over time. Users will also need to give permission on their behalf to enable multi-device support on Android and iPhone devices, it is being estimated. This will broaden the scope of new experience and make it useful for those who want to stay connected all the time on WhatsApp, no matter what the device they have.

Earlier this month, Will Cathcart and Mark Zuckerberg spoke about multi-device support in their alleged conversation with Wabetainfo. Also worked on other new facilities. Officials suggested that it could begin within a time limit of two months. However, this kind of thing has been going on since April 2020.
