In a blog post, Google announced the rollout of these two new features for Google Messages users in India. In the coming weeks, the Android 8 and the subsequent version will start on the Android phone in the coming weeks. OTP auto deleting features and category features are optional and can be turned on or closed in settings. To see the change, users have to update Google Messages on its latest version. If the category feature is operational, the SMS message on the Google message app will be sorted into different classes based on their use. For example, a separate tab will be formed for a message with bank transactions and bill transactions, while the message on the numbers saved will be placed in a personal tab. Google says that the classification on users’ devices is safely, so the conversation remains in the app and can also be accessed offline.
For the OTP feature, Google is also giving the option to remove it 24 hours after receiving OTP. With this, users will not have to waste time in removing many OTPs that get daily. This will help users to keep their message app clean. Last year, Google also released the feature of the suspected spam message automatically transforing the spam folder.
