Without webcam, Jio Fiber users will now be able to make video calls from their TV, know how …

Jio Fiber users will now be able to make video calls from their TV, that too without external camera or webcam. A new feature called ‘Digital Camera on Cellular’ will now be received through Jiojoin App (whose first name was JioCall), which will be available on both Android and iOS devices. This feature makes the user’s phone camera input for video calls. It enables video calling through JioFibervoice, which is obtained with Jio Fiber Service to provide calling support to broadband users. Customers can also use the Jiojoin app on their mobile phone, so that voice calls can be made using landline number.

The ‘Digital Camera on Cellular’ feature was being tested for the past several months, although it has now been rolled out for both Android and iOS users.

To make a video call on your TV through mobile phone camera, you will first have to enter your 10 -digit Jio fiber number on the Jiojoin app. After entering the number, you can use the ‘Digital Camera on Cellular’ feature in the settings of the Jiojoin app. Now you are fully prepared to use your phone as a webcam to make a video call.

Jio will recommend users to switch their modes into the 5GHz Wi-Fi band, so that the video call is cleaned. However, you can also take the experience of the feature on the 2.4GHz band, but it may have some blurness.

App is available on the app store and Google Play Store for Jiojoin App download. It works on a device above Android 6.0 and 10.0 of iOS.
