Google said on a support page that it is going to roll out Android 16 as an automatic software update for Pixel 6A from 8 July. It will be introduced on the phone labeled as an implemented device. This is being done so that the problem of hot battery will be reduced, which can threaten the owners of the phone. The update will provide large battery management features on Pixel 6A. Google will reduce the battery capacity and charging performance of the phone after 400 charge bicycles after Android 16 rollouts. However, until the battery crosses this limit, the changes related to the battery and new features will remain closed.

Users whose PIXEL 6A device has been labeled as impatitable will get a reminder notification when reaching 375 charge bicycles. Along with a decrease in battery capacity, users can also see changes such as a decrease in charging speed. Apart from this, the battery level indicator can also change, but it is called a short time change as the phone changes itself according to its revised capacity.

If Pixel 6A comes inside the battery performance program, users are eligible for free repair. If they do not want to repair, they can also choose the option of cash compensation or store hardware discounts, which will be applicable to their next purchasing via Google Store. Google took this step after many problems related to the Pixel 6A battery earlier this year.
