Apple’s Primary iPhone Provider Foxconn Gets Rid of Chinese Language Body of Workers from its factories in Bharat

American devices maker Apple’s largest contract manufacturer FoxConn has removed Chinese engineers and technicians from its factories in India. This can lead to difficulties in preparing the upcoming iPhone 17 manufacturing for Apple. The number of Chinese staff extracted from Foxconn factories is more than 300.

A report by Bloomberg states that this decision of Foxconn may cause tension between the US and China on trade and tariffs. In the last two months, more than 300 Chinese workers have been eliminated from Foxconn’s iPhone assembling units in India. However, Taiwan’s Foxconn has not given the reason for this. Recently, Foxconn has set up a new factory in Orgadam, Tamil Nadu. This has indicated to increase manufacturing in India by Apple.

During March to May this year, Foxconn has exported about $ 3.2 billion iPhones from the country. About 97 percent of these iPhones have been exported to the US. However, American President Donald Trump expressed displeasure over the Apple’s plan to increase the manufacturing of iPhone in India. Trump had also warned Apple to put a 25 percent tariff on iPhones sold there for not manufacturing iPhone in the US. This may increase the price of iPhones in America.

Foxconn has around 80,000 workers in India. It is the largest manufacturer of iPhones. However, a large part of Foxconn’s manufacturing is in China. Apple has increased the assembling of the iPhone in India under the strategy of decreasing manufacturing in China. In the last financial year, the iPhone stake in the export of smartphones from the country was about Rs 1.5 lakh crore. Apple’s affordable iPhone 16E, launched in February, is being assembled in India. With the sale of iPhone 16E being assembled in the country, some countries will also be exported in India. Recently, manufacturing of iPhones has also been started in Tata Team’s Tata Electronics’s new factory in Hosur’s new factory.
