In its advisory, CERT-in has written that many valanarability has been described in Google Chrome. It can allow an attacker to send uncontrolled codes to a targeted system. The agency has said that the Google Chrome version before 98.0.4758.80 is affected by these vulnarability.
Advisory states that these vulinability exists in Google Chrome due to free browsing, reader mode, web search, thumbnail tab, strip, screen capture, window dialogue, payments, extensions and accessibility due to free use in Google Chrome. Earlier this month, Google announced the release of Chrome 98 for Home Windows, Macos and Linux users. The company said that the update included a total of 27 security facilities.
In the last release, Google reported that access to bug details and links can be restricted until most users update the chrome browser on their system.
Google Chrome gets automatic updates in the background. However, users can manually download the update by going to Chrome and then to Google Chrome. Once the update is downloaded, the browser will have to be launched again. Only then will the latest version be fully installed.
Google’s concerns are not here. Last month, news came that the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai could be questioned in a case. The verdict was given by a federal judge from California, USA. The plaintiff had alleged that his internet use was illegally tracked by Google in ‘Incognito’ browsing mode. In the trial filed in June 2020, the user has accused Google. It is said that Google tracks their internet use and illegally attacked their privacy. All this happened when the user set Google Chrome Browser in non-public mode.
