This feature called Non-Public Tale Likes allows users to like other Instagram stories of others. Till now users had an option to re-make stories or reply with comments. At the same time, the response shared on Instagram Story was shared on the DM inbox of the users. With the new update, users can mark their likes for stories without using their DM inbox.
Instagram head Adam Mossery (Adam Mosseeri) on Tuesday on Twitter Video Through the Non-Public Tale Likes Rollout of Functionality was announced. With new updates, users can connect to the story by tapping on a heart icon like a regular feed post. Unlike the regular Instagram post, the number of Non-Public Tale Likes will not appear. Moseri said that it will appear in the viewer sheet.
The Non-Public Tale Likes feature has been brought on Instagram as part of an attempt to improve messaging experience. In December last year, Moseri announced that Instagram would focus on messaging and doubled the work on controls in 2022 to improve transparency.
Earlier this month, Instagram added several new features to remove the posts, comments and other activities from the platform. With its help, users can delete or archive their content including posts, stories, IGTV and Reels. Comment, likes and stake reactions can also be deleted. Instagram also allows its users to do their content and interaction.
Talk about this year’s priorities, Adam Moseri has focused on videos, messaging, transparency and creators as four major areas. Last month, he told that we are going to double our focus on the video. Moseri had said that Instagram would focus on messaging and will work double on controls in the coming year to improve transparency. He said that to help the creators and make them strong, more opportunities of earning will be given on the app.
