Commenting on the new features, Tinder CEO Jim Lanzone said, “A new generation of datars in the post -Kovid world is demanding more than us. She is seeking more ways to show more ways, enjoy and interact with others. He wants more control over who and how they communicate on the tinder.”
Now the users will let users add a video to their profiles in addition to the pictures that the users could already upload. According to the company, “Video will be a new means to tell Gen Z to tell his authentic stories and will introduce the development of Tinder as a multi-dimensional experience. It shows how 2021 looks dating.” Tinder says Gen Z is more than 50 percent of its user base.
Apart from this, Tinder will now allow users to chat with each other before matching the dating platform with their new hot tax feature. The new feature will also have a timer and users will have to take their decision before it is over. Hot tax will be available daily from 6 pm to 12 pm (midnight). This feature is based on Swipe Night Time which was first held on 12 September. Where users participated in a shared storyline.
Tinder is also incorporating a new Discover section that will help users find new people based on shared interest and passion. For example, if users are interested in roller skating or baking, they will be able to find people interested in roller skating or baking respectively. Tinder also announced that its hot tax and other in-app events would be put together in the Explore section in the coming weeks. Apart from Discover, other new features have also been rolled out for users.
