DR Internet has shared a report of the review of virus activity on mobile devices, according to which the malware analysts have discovered dozens of dangerous apps on the Google Play Store. These include adhaware trojan, fake apps used by scammers, many other apps including stealing private and confidential data.
According to the report, in June, the activity of Android.undercover agent.4498 Trojan, who steals the information present in the notification of other apps, started decreasing. The company has reported that last month the Trojan was present in the device less than 20.56%, which was much lower than in May. At the same time, the activity of Android.hiddenads Adhave Trojan also recorded a decline, but this decline was a very slight decline with 8%.
The report further states that these apps are one of the most widespread Android threats. Over a month, Doctor Web’s malware experts discovered dozens of such apps on Google Play Games. These included adhaware Trojan, fake apps used by scammers, apps to target notifications targeting confidential data.
The report states that more than 98,90,000 downloads have been reported from Android.hiddenads Family from about 30 adhaware Trojan. The list of the application includes image-editing software, virtual keyboard, system tools and utilities, calling apps, wallpaper collection apps etc.

Dr. Web’s experts also discovered other Trojan of Android.joker family who work like downloading arbitrary codes and subscribing to them in a service without the knowledge of the victims. The report said, “One of these third party launcher was hidden in ‘Poco Launcher’, while the other was in the ‘4K Pro camera’ app. The third was in the ‘Heart Emoji Stickers’ app.”
It further explained that when launching, the app asks users to log in to their account and then loads a real -looking Facebook athantication page. Subsequently, the app stole authentication data.
