Xiaomi’s first laptop may be launched next year: report

China’s smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi can introduce laptops in the coming days after introducing products from health, sports and gear categories. A new report has given interesting information about the company’s first laptop. The report claimed that like the company’s smartphone, the laptop will also see tremendous harmony between the price and performance.

Last month, Xiaomi’s hardware partner Inventac said that Xiaomi’s first laptop could be launched in 2016. This claim has been confirmed in a recent report. Digitimes quoted its sources as saying that there will be two models of laptops. One with a 12.5 -inch display and the other with a 13.3 -inch display. Their production will begin in the first quarter of 2016.

The report informed that the company has ordered an ordered 250,000 units for the 12.5 -inch model and an order of 500,000 units for a 13.3 -inch model. The company has tied up with Comple Electronics for a 13.3 -inch model.
