Amazon Top Video Cell Version was launched in India on Monday as an affordable version of the company’s video streaming service. The e-commerce company introduced Top Video Cell Version for Airtel customers in partnership with telecom operator last year. Due to this, the plan for all customers in India has expanded. However, it only gets membership of Amazon Prime Video with mobile.

Amazon Top Video Cell Version has been launched on Monday, which is a cheap version of its streaming subscript service, priced at Rs 599 per year. According to Amazon, the mobile version will provide access to only one users and will be available on a smartphone.

According to Amazon, subscribers will have access to all videos available on service in Standard-Defection (SD) on the same smartphone. This service will be available for single users. Separated from the full prime video experience that comes with Amazon Top subscription, users will not have many profiles and can also not stream the content on 4K resolution on computer or smart TV.

Amazon says that customers can sign up for a plan through Prime Video App on Android or go to the Prime Video website to buy an annual subscription of prime video mobile version. Customers can also select an upgrade in full prime video experience priced at Rs 1,499. This plan is equipped with other Amazon Top benefits including music streaming and fast delivery.

As the company’s announcement, Amazon wants to expand the access to the mobile-only plan, which it introduced in partnership with Airtel last year. In which the general prime video gets access to content like customers. Along with this, 6GB data is available for 28 days, which costs Rs 89. During that time Airtel customers could also choose an option of Rs 290. This plan provided access to 1.5GB data and prime video mobile edition with a validity of 28 days. Amazon is trying to increase its growth in India, as it competes with other streaming service like Netflix, Voot and Disney+ Hotstar. Top video mobile version can help the company compete with Netflix.
